MBA in Health Care Administration
The MVNU School of Graduate & Professional Studies is proud to offer a Master of Business Administration in Health Care Administration (MBA—HCA) degree program that is intentionally designed for working adult learners. Students can complete their graduate business degree fully online or through a combination of online and on-site courses at our Mount Vernon campus.
The MBA—HCA is designed for practicing clinicians and health care professionals who are leaders or aspiring leaders in their field. The graduate degree program prepares working professionals for leadership and management roles in hospitals, clinics, extended care facilities, assisted living facilities, and group practices.
The 12 course, 36 credit hour MBA—HCA is a blend of the six (6) general business courses that comprise the business degree core, which cover the functional areas of business—economics, organizational behavior, marketing, global business, accounting, and finance—as well as six (6) health care administration courses focused on issues specifically relevant to the health care industry—health care management, legal aspects of health care organizations, health services administration, quality management in health care, and leadership in health care organizations.
